The governatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress in Gombe state, Dr. Jamil Gwamna has congratulated Gov Inuwa Yahaya CON for emerging as the sole candidate for Gombe North Senatorial District .
Gwamna, who accompanied Inuwa Yahaha to his ward in Jekadafari while reacting to the outcome of the primaries said the will of the people had prevailed.
He said the emergence of Governor Inuwa Yahaya was a proof of people's love for his style of leadership which has made him a candidate that any opposition should be scared of in view of his sterling performance in the state.
"I want to congratulate our party leader for being affirmed as the sole candidate of our party for the Gombe North Senatorial election.
"The victory did not come as a surprise in view of the love of the people for APC which has been given good leadership at the state and national levels.
"I also congratulate Mohammed Ahmed, who clinched the ticket for Gombe Central Senatorial seat and also Jerry Damara for Gombe South ahead of the 2027 general elections."
Gwamna said with the huge membership turn-out for the primaries, he expressed confidence that the 2027 general elections would be a good outing for the APC .
He further lauded Inuwa Yahaya for listening to aggrieved aspirants and allowing the conduct of primaries in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2026,"this shows you are a true democrat who believes in the growth of internal democracy and respect for the will of the people."
Gwamna urged all those who didn't get the ticket to work together with the elected candidates in the interest of victory for the party and President Tinubu, come 2027.
