The Gombe State PDP Youth Circle, under the able leadership of its Chairman, Umar Adamu (Umar Abu Abdullah), wishes to address the growing wave of misinformation and deliberate misrepresentation surrounding the candidature of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial elections.
We state unequivocally and without reservation that Hon. Ahmed Yayari remains the only lawful and duly recognised gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Gombe State.
This clarification has become necessary in light of recent attempts by certain individuals and factions to create confusion within the party and mislead the general public through false claims and parallel assertions. These actions are not only misleading but also undermine the democratic values and internal processes of our great party.
Hon. Ahmed Yayari’s emergence as the PDP flagbearer followed due process and is firmly rooted in the authority of the legally recognised national leadership structure of the party, in line with existing judicial pronouncements. His Certificate of Return is valid, legitimate, and binding.
We wish to emphasise that legitimacy is not determined by propaganda or media noise, but by strict adherence to due process, party constitution, and the rule of law. Any claim contrary to this position is null, void, and of no consequence.
Hon. Ahmed Yayari is a loyal party man, a seasoned administrator, and a committed stakeholder who has consistently contributed to the growth and stability of the PDP at both state and national levels. His pedigree, experience, and dedication make him the right choice to lead the party to victory in 2027.
The Gombe PDP Youth Circle therefore calls on all party faithful, supporters, and the good people of Gombe State to disregard any misleading narratives and rally behind Hon. Ahmed Yayari as the authentic candidate of the PDP.
We further urge all stakeholders to prioritise unity, discipline, and respect for constituted authority as we collectively work towards reclaiming power and delivering good governance to the people of Gombe State.
